A higher feed intake stimulates milk production, growth and animal health, with a positive effect on profitability. ProMyr® silage additives produce a powerful and rapid effect at the start of the ensiling process. This promotes the ensiling process and reduces the risk of damage in storage. Our silage additives are the best choice for all conceivable ensiling conditions and have gained a reputation for making very good silage even under difficult ensiling conditions, where the crop is wet and deficient in sugar and/or coarse.
The core ProMyr ® silage additives, developed to make a difference in silage quality, are grouped into five application areas:
ProMyr® NT
ProMyr® NT are silage additives based on organic acids and salts of organic acids which is developed for ensiling pasture feed. Use of ProMyr® NT in your silage with low to medium solids content willl give you the following advantages:
· A rapid pH reduction
· A good quality silage even under unfavourable conditions
· A good quality silage in terms of nutritional value and unwanted microorganisms
Although ProMyr® NT is partly buffered to make the product more user friendly it still decreases the pH very rapidly. At a low pH cell respiration stops and all available nutrients will be preserved. By adding ProMyr® NT to the silage you also protect your feed against the growth of moulds and butyric acid bacteria. Mould growth would have a detrimental impact on the nutritional value and palatability of the feed and butyric acid bacteria spores would have a very negative effect on milk quality.
Because the nutritional value of the feed and its content of decomposition products are of great significance to animals' performance and feed intake, there is a direct link between ensiling using ProMyr® NT and higher levels of production. Silage treated with ProMyr® NT has substantially lower percentages of ammonia nitrogen, and thus a very positive effect on animal health, feed intake and milk production.
ProMyr® XR
ProMyr® XR are silage additive based on organic acids and their salts developed for those who specifically require extra help with overheating problems or hard-to-ensile material. ProMyr® XR contains special products developed for those who want extra help during the ensiling process. There are special products for corn ensilage, whole crop ensilage, grass mixtures with a high clover content and organic farming.
ProMyr® CQ
Crimping grain has gained in interest in the last years. More and more farmers are growing grain to have a high nutritional feed for their animals. But it is of the utmost importance that you can preserve these products well. ProMyr® CQ is a blend of organic acids which is especially developed to preserve crimped grains because the requirements of crimped products are different from E.G. grass silage. By using ProMyr® CQ for preserving your crimped grains you will make sure that your feed is well preserved without loss of nutritional value or growth of unwanted microorganisms or moulds.
ProMyr® TR
With increasing milk production figures the need for high quality feed and a high feed intake will grow. ProMyr® TR is especially developed to keep your TMR ration fresh during the day. ProMyr® TR will prevent the TMR from heating and will stimulate feed intake in that way. A side effect of ProMyr® TR is that you add some energy to your TMR which will prevent ketosis.
ProMyr® LB
Silage additives based on specific strains of homofermentative and heterofermentative bacteria. ProMyr LB was developed to facilitate optimal growth and development of the desired bacteria. There are special products for corn silage, wet grass and dry grass.
